De Antroposofische Vereniging in Nederland maakt melding van een bijeenkomst in het Goetheanum, het internationale hoofdkwartier in Zwitserland van de Antroposofische Vereniging, met Gerald Häfner over de huidige War in the Gulf Area - Is Peace Possible? Op woensdag 15 april tussen 19.30 en 21.30 uur, zowel live in het Goetheanum als online via Zoom te volgen. De aankondiging is in het Engels en in het Duits, net zoals de bijeenkomst zelf.

War in the Gulf Area - Is Peace Possible? Lecture and Discussion with Gerald Häfner, in-person and online event, on wednesday, April 15, 2026, 7.30 - 9.30 pm in the Main Hall of the Goethanum and online.

On February 28, 2026, Israel and the USA jointly attacked Iran. Since then, alongside the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine, the Middle East, Sudan, and Myanmar, another highly dangerous confrontation has been raging. The number, intensity, and duration of wars are on the rise again. More and more often, the power of law and diplomatic compromise is being replaced by the law of the strong and the superior. How can we understand this development? And how should we respond to it?

Current world events are becoming increasingly crisis-ridden. This is something that deeply concerns many of us. In this situation, the Goetheanum does not wish to remain silent. Rather—free from any claim of possessing ultimate truths—we want to try to shed light on at least some aspects of these events and provide an opportunity for dialogue and independent judgment.
